American Suzuki is pleased to introduce the full line of 2013 KingQuad utility ATV models including an all-new True Timber XD3 Camo option and new 30th anniversary KingQuad 750 AXi, 500 AXi, 400 ASi, 400FSi A TV models made to commemorate 30 years of Suzuki ATVs being “First on 4-Wheels.”

In 1983, Suzuki revolutionized off-roading by introducing the first four-wheeled ATV, the QuadRunner LT125. These special edition 30th anniversary models join Suzuki’s full lineup of 2013 KingQuad ATVs. The KingQuad 750AXi and KingQuad 750AXi Power Steering are Suzuki’s flagship utility ATV models and rugged machines engineered to tackle the toughest jobs and nastiest trails without breaking a sweat. They are loaded with advanced Suzuki technology including fully independent A-arm front suspension and I-beam rear suspension, adjustable shocks, locking front differential, high/low-selectable subtransmission and a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled powerplant with efficient Suzuki fuel injection to give these top-of-the-line KingQuad models impressive all-around performance. Advanced electric power steering makes it convenient and easy for the KingQuad 750AXi Power Steering to tackle the toughest terrain.

The KingQuad 500AXi and KingQuad 500AXi Power Steering are rugged utility ATVs that boast much of the same class-leading features and advanced technology as the KingQuad 750AXi and KingQuad 750AXi Power Steering models. With robust Suzuki fuel-injected 4-stroke, liquid-cooled 493cc engines and lightweight chassis, they are versatile machines designed to deliver exceptional torque and broad power for strong, versatile performance over difficult trails and terrain.

The KingQuad 400ASi and KingQuad 400FSi models feature Suzuki’s advanced ATV technology in a lightweight mid-size utility package that offers excellent handling and strong performance for a wide variety of trails and tasks. The Suzuki fuel injected KingQuad 400FSi and KingQuad 400ASi models are the only utility ATVs in their class available in both manual and automatic transmissions, to suit a wide variety of rider applications and preferences.

In addition to the special edition 30th Anniversary KingQuads, all-new True Timber XD3 Camo bodywork is available on the full range of KingQuad models. The new design provides increased camouflage for hunting and other outdoor activities. Flame Red and Terra Green will be also available color options for the full 2013 KingQuad lineup.

The fully electric Commander will be powered by a 48V AC induction motor with 9.4 kWH lead-acid battery pack. An optional lithium battery pack is also expected to be offered.

Sherbrooke, Quebec – BRP has announced they will assemble specialized motorized vehicles derived from its line of products in a new plant located in Sherbrooke. This facility will concentrate on assembling customized vehicles to meet the requirements of governments, municipalities, institutions and agencies, as well as individual consumers.

“This decision allows us to first assemble gasoline-powered vehicles with specific requirements from our existing products for which we already have orders from the Middle East,” said José Boisjoli, president and CEO. ”We will also make the most of the technologies developed at the Centre de technologies avancées BRP-University de Sherbrooke (CTA) and produce zero-emission electric vehicles.”

One of the specialized products being assembled at this new facility, the prototype of the Can-Am Commander electric side-by-side vehicle, was introduced in Montréal last summer during Club BRP. In light of the reaction from dealers, distributors and the media from around the world, BRP is going ahead with marketing and selling the Can-Am Commander electric side-by-side vehicle.

“We will be using the same marketing and distribution strategy that we used for our Can-Am Spyder roadster,” said Mihai Rasidescu, vice-president, Specialized Vehicles Group. “We will recruit from within our existing dealer network to develop the business and gradually expand as market demand grows. We will go out in phases and, starting July 1, 2012, the Can-Am Commander electric side-by-side vehicle will be on sale at some BRP dealers in Québec, Ontario and Alberta, and in California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Texas and Virginia.”

The first Can-Am Commander electric side-by-side vehicle goes to Sherbrooke University, BRP’s partner in the CTA that developed the vehicle’s electric technology. The vehicle can reach a speed of 40 km/h and has a range of between 40 and 160 km, depending on driving habits, vehicle speed, terrain conditions, weather temperature and battery type.

The new assembly plant will create 20 new jobs in Sherbrooke and will grow according to demand.

With its three tracks, hilltop and trackside viewing areas, concessions and covered viewing/dining facilities all completed, the new 33MotoSports Park in Mio, Mich., is ready for riders and fans. Nestled in the rolling hills of Huron National Forest, this unique 80-acre park has been developed as a family-friendly racing complex for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles.

33MotoSports Park will be open every weekend through October. Fifteen race events are scheduled for 2012, starting with the Grand Opening celebration May 19-20. In addition to the race lineup, 56 practice days are scheduled, including all Tuesdays and Thursdays during July and August.

The park will have something for everyone, said owner John Gusler.

“It’s for experienced and novice riders wanting more track time, as well as die-hard fans and families looking for affordable entertainment,” he said. “People are really going to be blown away by what we’ve created here.”

Gusler relied heavily on the Park’s general manager, Dave Hassell, to develop a facility that riders will love.

“I’ve been racing most of my life, at parks all over the country,” said Hassell, who also owns a motocross distribution company. “I can honestly say we’ve put together something here that rivals the best of them.”

As a native son who returned to the area from California, Hassell earned a reputation from years in motocross racing, motocross equipment repair and facilities management that has attracted seasoned riders from far and wide to check out 33MotoSports Park.

Cale Kuchnicki of Alanson is an example of an experienced rider who plans to travel regularly to northern Michigan to take advantage of the new park, located just down the road from Northern Power Sports of Mio.

“It’s definitely national caliber,” said an excited Kuchnicki after some recent pre-opening day spins around the track. “I love a wide-open track, and it just pinned everywhere and the jumps are nice, big and smooth, so it’s safe. It’s a great overall track. The facility is amazing!”

Beyond the three rolling-terrain tracks with varying degrees of obstacles and jumps to accommodate all machine sizes and skill levels, there is weekend overnight parking onsite for racers, as well as nearby campgrounds and motels. The park also features ample parking, restrooms, hilltop covered viewing and dining areas, a cafe and concessions.

The first glimpses of the all new, all badass Arctic Cat Wildcat took a bit to grow on us.  The first of what we expect to be many to follow with factory included/incorporated doors and new, more aggressive body lines made us do a “meh” at first wondering how much it would change from conception to birth at the dealer level.  The designers stayed true to the design goal and the finished product is a true powerhouse of power, speed, handling, styling and unique tough looking stance – all making it one of the best looking UTV’s on the market.

We had a customer request factory match green M17 Elixir ATV wheels to complete the look and as you can see from the results below, this machine went from boring to bragging rights with a few simple out of the box accessories.  We love the simple details Arctic Cat took the time to finish like the branded functional components, easy and functional doors and easy to see heads up display.

We are excited to have a new contender enter the UTV market and do it right out of the box – this machine handles great and after mounting the 26″ EFX MotoGrip UTV tires we noticed immediate handling improvements and ride quality in crawling, moderate and high speeds.  Because of the super tough automotive grade 8-ply radial DOT approved design, we were able to take our hands off the wheel going approx. 25mph on flat road and with no assistance, the MotopGrip tires tracked us perfectly straight.  The original equipment tires had a slight chatter at low/crawling speeds that was drastically reduced with the new MotoGrip tires, improving handling, quality and wear on your machine and components.
